We started with the lawn chair method
But had to progress to the halter to get the haircut completed
Chone put up a bit more fuss, and went straight to the halter.
Crazy little bugger was ok through the shoulders and back,, but as soon as I got near his little tush, he turned into a bucking bronco!
We wrestled a while, but it was going nowhere, so I finally let him go and now he’s got a messy, shaggy haircut with a straggly butt.
Oh well. Suppose I’ll get him cleaned up later. (I think he kind of likes being a a mess)
Methinks Chone has a very vivid memory of something that happened in that neighborhood of his long, long ago….
that could very well be. hadn’t thought of that!
Sorry about Chone. His brother’s the same way.
too funny. they truly are two of a kind! he’s usually such a sweet little guy. but he really had me steamed yesterday-
Great shots that made me feel like I was there. Now I know how you do your shearing. Thanks.
good to hear from you Bruce! yep, that’s how it happens. sometimes smoothly, sometimes not, but one way or another, I get the wool off!
Ahhhh. What good sheeple!
How’s the sock monkey sweater coming? I’ve started a sock monkey vest. . . commercial yarn though.
the monkey sweater is coming along pretty well, but is just round and round and round right now- almost to the point where I join the sleeves and body. the knitting will get more interesting once I’m into the shoulder and neck shaping!
Next time maybe slip a valium in his treats – it probably tickled…
We sheared today – the fleeces look a lot better than the girls do, but NO nicks – I was happy about that. They just look a little scraggly…T.
always nice when you can get through with no nicks! so where do you send your fleeces for processing now that Gretchen has moved away?
