Peonies!
My very favorite flower.
I just can’t get enough of them.
So I’ve got them in almost every room of the house right now.
They are here and gone so fast every year.
In other news, the two-handed, ambidextrous colorwork swatch I’ve been working on decided that it wanted to be hat, so I’ve started off in that direction-
And Clem and I have been cranking out batts of many colors and textures.
Yum!
Now that I have a drum carder, I don’t know how I ever got my without one! Its really amazing how much it accelerates the fleece-to -yarn metamorphosis. Now my fleece stash doesn’t seem unreasonable at all. 🙂
Looking forward to seeing some of you at Black Sheep next weekend!
Denise
Hey Denise, look me up in the Shetland sheep barn! I have a blue sign that says “Bouderneigh” in white, and will have my lambies there.
I sure will!
Those Peonies are beautiful.
I just wish that I could touch your fiber.
Aren’t those drum carders are amazing?
I am so envious of you (and Michelle and Tina…) as you have wonderful growing conditions for peonies. This year, our mountain spring has lingered very long and we still have temps in the 40s at night. My corn will not be anywhere close to “knee-high by the 4th of July” this year. Lois (from Stonehaven) and I commiserate about how we both love our mountain abodes, but would also love to be able to grow more without banging our heads against a wall each year.
I love the batts you’re producing. You’ve inspired me to gett off my bum and get my workbench cleaned off to card! And to get my combs out again! WooHoo. Well done! 🙂
