Dish Soap. A little goes a long way.
Add dish soap after pot is filled, and only stir to dissolve. You don’t need (or want) a lot of suds.

When the fleece is submerged in the wash water it will immediately start to release lots of dirt and grease

Fleece in rinse pot
Subsequent rinses are progressively less brown/yellow
I let the fleece rest on the pot lid while I’m re-filling for rinses
