Beauty, no? It’s a wonder of irrigation.
The contrast between the green of the vineyards and the brown of the hills is dramatic.
There are old vines
And lots of sky.
And we caught some rainbows on the return trip through the stormy mountains.
Managed to get a fair amount of Classic Oak done while on the mini-vac.
I’m about 12 inches in now.
And no trip is complete without a stop at the local yarn store- where I found this lovely skein.
But the big score was the wine. Which we will enjoy with fond memories of the Yakima valley.
That sweater is going to be beautiful! Look at all of those cables!!
thanks. yep. lots of cables. makes it kinda slow going, but I do love the textures.
What interesting country. Those hills behind the valley are amazing. Love all the photos.Yarn stores are dangerous for me but pair them with wine and I’m dead in the water. Nice post!
That sweater is so beautiful. You are making it for me, aren’t you? Thanks.
the landscape is really interesting. a study in contrasts. and it is definitely wise to keep the wine shopping separate from the yarn shopping!
Beautiful shots! What a fun trip. The sweater is gorgeous!
