The Finished Object (not wool related, but bear with me!)-
Chickens are out of the shop and into their new digs:
Just finished the coop and got the girls out on grass for the first time this afternoon!
The WIP (starting to feel like the perpetual wip!) is finally all on one needle and creeping slowly towards it’s saddle-shouldered, v-necked finish:
And the New Acquisition- is a beautiful book I happened upon at NW Handspun yarns this week.
It’s Poetry in Stitches, by Solveig Hisdal, and while I just discovered it, I guess it was published quite some time ago and has been out of print for a bit.
Lots of fabulous colorwork- Just what I’ll need after finishing the gradient project!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better-looking mobile coop! Wow!
Thanks Michelle! It was a fair amount of work- ‘specially all the details towards the end, but it sure did turn out neat, and I think my chicken girls really like it-
That is a really amazing book! great find.
What a fantastic set up you have. How much land do you own…I would luv to see more of your place Denise.
Thanks- We’ve got just 2.25 acres. More photos of the property (before-and-after type of thing) are on the “Where” page (tabs just below the page header). The after shots are from last spring- I figure we’re about 5 years into a 10 year project!
I’ll bet the chicks are digging their new coop. It looks great.
