I’ll be teaching two classes at the WSU Country Living Expo this year- Spinning Wheels 101, and Making Yarn from Scratch.
Spinning Wheels 101 will focus on wheel mechanics, with a focus on troubleshooting wheels that are not currently working to get them spinning again. So if you have a wheel that you don’t know much about or that has some issues, bring it down to Stanwood and lets get it going again! Antique wheels welcome.
In Making Yarn from Scratch we’ll get down to just that, making yarn. From the very basics of treadling and drafting (and trying to manage both at the same time!). Wool provided. If we have time we’ll talk about woollen vs worsted and plying.
